Unsuspecting Love

Hear me,

But I think that God has a thing for causing love to spring up in the most unexpected places and writing love stories with insanely ridiculous, life transforming and life-changing plot twists. Sometimes, that love meets us really unprepared and unqualified, but somehow, someway, it does more to us than we thought was possible.

I mean the books don’t lie.

On a random day, a prostitute met with a man who would save her from death which was only a stones throw away. It seems really random or typical, but honestly, what are the odds that she would be caught when he was only a few blocks down the street?

One random day, a tax collector, had a short conversation with a random man, and convinced himself that He was worth following and worth leaving and living his life for. Honestly, you can’t simply call that mere coincidence.

On a random day, a known Man of God marries a serial prostitute, and despite the hurt and pain that resulted from her sins, he was able to love her again. Not very many of us can do that!!!

On a random day, being my realest and most carefree self, I met the love of my life. Would you look at that??

And on the most random day, a more intentional father looked down on you, with all your misgivings, sin, and filth, and said to himself, “She is really worth dying for“. On the most random day, this super intentional person really left ninety-nine lambs, just to chase that one strong-headed, stubborn goat that was me. Just so I can know Him and experience the tenderness and warmth of his love. And he did the same for you too.

This is not because of what you did or what you have, but because you matter greatly and dearly to him. And that is the pure, honest and undiluted truth… YOU MATTER.

If that is not love, if that is not intentionality, then I dont know what is!!!
